BIDEFORD
EURO MEET 2025
THE OUTDOOR EDITION

What is Euro Meet?
Euro Meet is an annual event organised by Round Table groups across Europe as a way to meet other groups in their Table ‘family’ – in our case any Table ending in ’28’ (RT28, RT128, RT228, RT328 etc.)
The ’28’ Euro Meet typically starts on Ascension Day and runs for the following weekend.
Why are Bideford hosting?
After two fantastic Euro Meets in Leusden (2023) and Zell am See (2024), Bideford put their names forward to host in 2025.
We’re very excited and are looking forward to showing our European friends the best that Bideford and North Devon has to offer!
Where is Bideford?
Bideford is in the north of the county of Devon, located in the South West of England, in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
Bideford is a historic port town on the estuary of the River Torridge, close to the North Devon coastline and Atlantic Ocean.
How do I get to Bideford?
Bideford is located in a remote part of England, and as such it’s not easy to reach using Public Transport!
If you do not wish to drive from Europe, we recommend that you fly to the UK and hire a car to drive to Bideford.
See below for more information
What is planned?
While the exact programme of events is a closely guarded secret, the weekend will be a fantastic opportunity t0 visit another country, meet other members of Round Table from across Europe, make new friends, and (of course) drink a lot of beer and cider!
See below for more information
Where will future Euro Meets be held?
Our friends in Sélestat, France (TR28), will be hosting in 2026!
Future Euro Meets are undecided, and as part of the Bideford 2025 Business Meeting there will be the opportunity for Tables to pitch for their country to host in 2027.

Getting here

Plane
We would strongly recommend flying into the UK, hiring a car and driving to Bideford!
Bristol is our closest larger airport and is served by most European destinations. Bristol is approximately a 2 hour drive from Bideford.
Newquay and Exeter are our closest smaller airports, about 1-1.5 hours from Bideford, however are served by a smaller number of destinations.
There are also regular flights into London Heathrow and Gatwick airports, however these are much further from Bideford (around 4-4.5 hour drives).

Train / Bus
From Bristol Airport:
– Bus to Bristol Temple Meads station
– 1 hour train to Exeter St Davids
– Change to 1 hour train to Barnstaple
From London Heathrow:
– Bus or Underground to London Paddington
– 2 hour 15 minute train to Exeter St Davids
– Change to 1 hour train to Barnstaple
There is also a National Express coach from London Heathrow to Bideford which departs 1-2 times per day, and takes 5-6 hours.
If you wish to use public transport, the closest train station is Barnstaple, where we can collect you and drive to Bideford.

Car
While you can of course drive to Bideford from Europe, it is a 5 hour drive from the Eurotunnel at Folkestone to Bideford (400+ km).
As such we don’t recommend this option unless you are planning to spend longer in the UK!
