You may already have seen us driving Santa and his sleigh around Torridge during the festive period, and it is through your generous donations, plus attending our Drive-In Cinema and other fundraising events, that allows us to give back over £10,000 each year to those in need within the Torridge community.

How do I apply for funding?

Please get in touch no matter how small or large the request!

How much do you donate each year?

We have given out over £10,000 each year for the past few years to good causes in our local community.

Is there a minimum or maximum donation?

Not at all, although our donations are limited to the amount we have gained through fundraising.

We meet six times per year to discuss the funding requests received, and the amount we are able to give out to individual requests depends on how much we have already donated that year, as well as how successful our fundraising has been!

Who have you supported in the past?

Over the years we have supported a wide variety of local individuals, groups and charities in need of our support, ranging from sports clubs and community groups to helping those less fortunate throughout Torridge.

We discuss each application on its merits and having previously applied for funding (successfully or otherwise) does not mean that you cannot apply again.

What should my application include?

As much detail as possible!

To avoid us having to come back with questions (which is likely to delay a successful application), please include as much information about yourself, the group, charity and/or the cause as possible, as well as how a donation will make a difference. Don’t forget to include an amount too!

What happens after I apply for funding?

Once we receive your application, our Community Services member will get in touch to let you know that we’ve received your application, and whether any additional information is required.

We will then discuss your application at our next meeting, which we hold every couple of months. Following this we will let you know whether the application has been successful, and if so how best to transfer the donation to you.

How can I contribute to your fundraising?

We take collections and donations throughout our Santa Sleigh evenings in December, and via the sale of tickets for our Drive-In Cinema nights during the year.
